Outcome of the Project

Before receiving the loan, her husband was the sole breadwinner and managed the family's financial needs. During that time, life was relatively stable for her, and she had few worries. However, everything changed after the sudden loss of her husband, which left her in a state of shock and uncertainty. With no idea how to move forward and no source of income, she found herself in a difficult and vulnerable position. It was during this challenging period that she came across the loan support provided by Surabhi. Recognizing it as an opportunity to rebuild her life, she took the loan and began to focus on developing a small business to secure her livelihood. Ms. Gomathi, who now lives alone, started with just a small shop. Using the funds from the Surabhi women’s empowerment loan, she purchased all the essential items needed to stock her shop and steadily expanded her business. Over time, her hard work paid off, and she was able to turn her life around. What started as a modest effort grew into a sustainable source of income, allowing her to live independently and with dignity. Today, she continues to run her shop successfully and lives peacefully, a shining example of resilience and empowerment through timely support and personal determination.
