Don Bosco Social Service Society (DBSSS) is a non-commercial charitable institution run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, serving over 50 years since 15th June 1973 in Pulianthope, North Chennai, one of the largest slum areas in South Asia. Rooted in the compassionate legacy of Saint John Bosco (Italian Priest), who dedicated his life to the welfare of poor youth, DBSSS carries forward the mission of the Salesian Society, inspired by Saint Francis de Sales, known for kindness and patience. With a global presence in over 140 countries, the members of Salesians Society promote values-based, inclusive development across the world.

It implements sustainable programs across education (SDG 4), health and well-being (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), clean environment (SDG 13), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), and peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16).
